Club registration

Conditional Registration for Historic Vehicles in the Lancia Motor Club

  • The NSW Conditional Registration Scheme offers LMC members the opportunity to enjoy the use of their Lancia at substantially reduced cost. It is critical for all members seeking to utilise this provision understand and comply with the following guidelines:

  1. Owners must be a current be a financial member of the LMC before the club registrar can sign, stamp and issue the Historic Vehicle Declaration form.
  2. Members must submit a copy of the vehicle registration renewal document and a current pink slip before the registrar can provide a completed HVD. These documents can be submitted digitally (scanned and emailed to Registrar), hard copies posted to club P.O. Box or can sighted by the Registrar in person – Please Note: the club cannot accept responsibility for delays in receiving documents via post. Digital submission is recommended.
  3. Services NSW only accepts original Historical Vehicle Declarations when registrations are being renewed (i.e. - scanned or photo copied HVD’s are not acceptable for registration renewal). As such, unless the process is completed in person, completed HVD forms will be posted to the owner.
  4. It is critical that if membership of the LMC is not renewed by the 31st of December each year and a club plated vehicle is then driven, the vehicle is deemed to be unregistered the consequences for driving an unregistered vehicle are currently a $2,200 fine and 4 demerit points. It could also impact on the associated insurance of the vehicle.

  • Logbook completion guidelines:

  1. If a LMC member attends an advertised LMC event and the vehicle is driven directly to and from the event, the log book does not need to be completed.
  2. If the route taken to the event deviates from the direct route (i.e. to visit a friend or a business), the log book needs to be completed.
  3. When using a club plated vehicle, members should always carry the following items:

  • Certificate of approved operations
  • Conditional Registration Log Book
  • Proof of current club membership (a receipt of the payment is sufficient
  • Club magazine or proof of club run if using the vehicle on a club event.
